Planning a getaway in the Petite-Nation and wondering where to stay near Lac Simon? In Duhamel, the Motel du Lac Simon offers three types of lodging, open year-round: rooms, suites and an apartment. Here is how to choose the one that fits your group, your budget and your travel style.

Lodging at Lac Simon at a Glance

• Classic Rooms (12): from $140 / night. The essentials, done well.
• Comfort Suites (4): from $225 / night. More space and a full kitchen.
• Signature Apartment (1): from $850 for 2 nights. Sleeps up to 9.

These are “from” prices: the exact amount depends on your dates and is shown when you book.

Classic Rooms: For a Night on the Road or a Weekend at the Lake

If you want a simple, comfortable place to land, this is your option. Each room has one bedroom and a bathroom with a tub-shower, towels and a hair dryer. You will also find:

• a 43-inch smart TV (no cable);
• a small work desk;
• a small fridge, a microwave and a drip coffee maker;
• a wall-mounted air conditioner and bed linens.

Choosing the right room comes down to the beds:

• Room 1: one queen bed, for 2 guests. Ideal for a couple or a solo traveller. It also has grab bars at the toilet and the tub-shower.
• Rooms 2, 4, 6, 7, 9 and 11: two queen beds, up to 4 guests. Handy for two couples or a family.
• Rooms 3, 5, 8, 10 and 12: one queen bed and a sofa bed, up to 4 guests. A good fit for parents with kids.

Comfort Suites: More Room to Slow Down

Four suites, A to D, sleep up to 5 guests with two queen beds and a sofa bed in the living room. Their big advantage is a fully equipped kitchen (stove, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and coffee maker), plus a dining room. You cook your own meals, stretch out in the living room, and the stay takes on the pace of a real home.

Suites A and B each have two large 65-inch smart TVs. Suites C and D have one. Choose this option for a family, a stay of a few nights or a group that wants to eat together. All the details are on the Comfort Suites page.

The Signature Apartment: For Stays That Matter

One apartment only (No. 17), designed for larger groups: up to 9 guests, 3 closed bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The sleeping arrangement includes a king bed, two queen beds and a double-over-single bunk bed with a trundle bed.

The kitchen is fully equipped, with a dining room and a large table. The spacious, window-filled living room has a 75-inch smart TV. The four-season sunroom holds a foosball table and a games table. Travelling with a Pet

Pets are accepted in certain units only:

• Accepted: Classic Rooms 1 to 6, Comfort Suites A and B.
• Not accepted: Classic Rooms 7 to 12, Comfort Suites C and D, Signature Apartment.

Which Lodging Fits Your Trip?

Whichever lodging you pick, you have access to:

• Wi-Fi and on-site parking;
• an entrance hall with a washer and dryer (pay-per-use), an ice machine, a Keurig coffee corner and a vending machine;
• a picnic area with picnic tables and a propane BBQ (three seasons);
• a fire pit area with Adirondack chairs (four seasons);
• a children’s swing (three seasons).

• Check-in from 4:00 p.m., check-out by 11:00 a.m.
• Minimum age: the person booking must be at least 21. Photo ID is requested at booking and on arrival.
• Security deposit: $250 for a Classic Room, $500 for a Comfort Suite and $750 for the Signature Apartment, according to the booking platform’s terms.
