Fishing at Lac Simon and around

Lac Simon (2,900 ha) is part of Quebec’s lake trout monitoring network. According to the ministry, it is also home to landlocked salmon, lake whitefish and yellow perch.

All around: Lac de la Ferme (3 km), the Club des Douze outfitter (11 km) and the Papineau-Labelle wildlife reserve, with more than 760 lakes; its Gagnon welcome centre is 15 km from the motel.
