Nature and wildlife watching

Duhamel is surrounded by forest: the west of the municipality is part of the Papineau-Labelle wildlife reserve. In winter especially, white-tailed deer wander right into the village.

About 45 minutes away, Parc Oméga offers a 12 km drive-through route among deer, elk, bison, wolves and black bears, plus three walking trails.

Good to know

  • Do not feed the deer and slow down on the road, especially at dawn and dusk.
